Scoring Entropies was developed with students from the School of Arts at the University of Minho as part of the course Space, Territory and Context. The workshop approached the city as a field of fragments, using walking and writing as methods of observation and interpretation.

Inspired by Robert Smithson, students walked from the School of Arts to Fábrica do Arquinho, paying attention to ruins, infrastructures, and overlooked elements encountered along the way. At the factory, participants used punctuation marks such as quotation marks, questions, ellipses, and exclamations to intervene in and reframe elements of the site.

The exercise combined writing, walking, and spatial observation, later generating conversations, actions, and poetic responses. A poem produced by one of the students was subsequently exhibited in Ruins and Fragments .
