The text reflects on Elke Krasny’s lecture, which presents Ecologies of Care as a collective, transdisciplinary initiative that emerged during the pandemic to rethink care as a shared, relational, and situated practice.

Care is framed not only as an ethical or emotional gesture, but as a method and infrastructure that sustains life, knowledge, and social relations. The approach emphasizes slow learning, collective presence, and engagement with places marked by historical, ecological, and political tensions as curatorial actions.

At the same time, Krasny highlights the ambivalence of care, which can function both as support and as control, and proposes a feminist perspective that reclaims care as a critical, emancipatory, and world-making practice.
