This is my contribution to the book Post-Nostalgic Knowings, developed within the Coletivos Pláka 2019 program by the Porto City Council.
The course explored post-nostalgic perspectives through case studies in Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Spain, examining how contemporary practices can read, intervene in, and re-signify these spaces beyond purely preservationist approaches. In Porto, it focused on the Freixo hillside, a site shaped by overlapping industrial histories and ongoing real estate pressures, approached through walks, discussions, and spatial practices.
My contribution consists of three short texts in the book’s collective glossary, which reflects on memory through the concepts of Saudade, Nostalghia, and Toska. Within this framework, I developed the entries Imaginary, Malleability, and (Re)Think.
